Heritage Society of
Washington County
Preserving and Celebrating History with You.
What We Do
The Heritage Society of Washington County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of historic buildings and artifacts, and to promoting education and interest in Washington County, Texas.
Who We Are
Established in 1970, the Society owns and operates two historic properties: the 1843 Giddings Wilkin House Museum and the 1870 Giddings Stone Mansion.
We accomplish our mission and maintain these properties through historic home tours, rental of the facilities for events, antique and trunk shows, fundraising Galas and membership dues.
